I am a psychology doctoral student and a trained mental health clinician with five years of experience working with adolescents and young adults.

Altogether, my experiences in educational, research, and clinical settings have developed me into a well-rounded academic and mental health clinician with high hopes for my future career in psychology.
During my years in university, I pursued degrees in mathematics and English literature. In 2021, I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University, and I anticipate graduating with my Ph.D. from Tennessee State University in summer 2026. I’m passionate about problem solving, analytical thinking, creative expression, and language – and I love to incorporate these passions into my clinical work with clients. Driven by my own difficulties with loss, I prioritize working with adolescents and young adults through grief as well as trauma, identity development, and anxiety. I believe that growth occurs as individuals develop more authentic relationships with themselves by identifying and working through difficult thoughts and feelings.
Importantly, I understand that my clinical work is impacted by my relationship with myself, and I am committed to learning and growing as a person as well as a therapist. I spend my free time reading, writing, running, strength training, traveling, and spending time with my loved ones. Throughout my schooling, I worked in specialty coffee as a barista and still dabble by finding fun coffee to brew at home. My career aspirations in psychology are centered around learning with others through teaching, writing, and researching.
