Lightly is the name of my blog, on which I have been posting for many years. Personally and professionally, I use it as a creative writing practice that reflects my thoughts about counseling, literature, and other topics. Through this space, I hope to model for clients and others the experience of being authentically human and working to grow and heal through life’s difficulties. I will never share identifying information about clients.
If you are a former or current therapy client of mine, I want you to know that this blog provides a space for me to explore topics and issues that may or may not come up in individual therapy. You are welcome to explore the information that I have on my website, but you may encounter thoughts and opinions that you disagree with or that you find distressing. The best way for us to limit any negative impact of these concerns is for you to bring them up with me so that we can discuss them. If you have questions or concerns about anything you encounter on this site, please let me know during your therapy sessions.
Engagement with my website does not mean we have entered a professional relationship. A therapeutic relationship is only established once we have met for a session and agreed to begin treatment. If you’re in crisis and need immediate assistance, call 988 or 855‑274‑7471.
