I hope your days are filled with small moments that take your breath away. I hope you walk around a greenway with someone tall and curly-headed who just gets it. I hope you hit tennis balls across a net with a droopy center to a girl who challenges your contentment. I hope you catch the sun right as it’s sinking out of the sky and your windows are down and the song coming out of your car speakers feels like home. I hope you meet a dog on a walk around your neighborhood who is bashful in her approach but enthusiastic in her affection. I hope you eat indulgent meals and greet your loved ones eagerly and savor every moment that this life has to offer. That you lean into the moments that purify your heart, that wipe away the pain from yesterday, that enliven your mind and fill your lungs with breath and ease your intuition from its protective post. I hope that you hold tight to days, weeks (months even) in which your to-do list, extensive as it may be, falls aside because of the importance found in this moment, here and now. You’ve only got this moment, here and now. And this one. Here’s hoping you find yourself in this one.
Lightly,
Leah
